| Program I - Mechanical
Measuring |
 |
Three Dimensional Mechanical
Measuring System
Collision Damage Analysis and Repair Program 16
Clock Hour Program
This programs topics include Vehicle Design
and Collision Damage Characteristics of today's vehicles.
Proper mounting and clamping techniques along with hands on
exercises and instruction of proper structural damage analysis,
and measuring techniques using Car-O-Liner's Three Dimensional
Measuring equipment on both lower and upper body structures
are a major focus. Repair planning and documentation to further
enhance repair skills and capabilities will also be addressed.
The class includes Steering and Suspension issues as they
relate to collision repairs. Full Frame mounting and repair
procedures are featured using the Truck Repair System.
Basic 'In Shop' Training MUST be completed
prior to attending this program. |
 |
| Program II - Computerized
Measuring |
 |
Computerized Electronic
Measuring System
Collision Damage Analysis and Repair Program 16
Clock Hour Program
This class focuses on the use of the Computerized
Measuring System to accurately analyze, document, and repair
structural collision damage. The course includes instruction
and hands on exercises using Computerized system to measure
both lower and upper body structures, tips and processes used
for diagnosis of Steering and Suspension problems as they
relate to collision repairs. Also featured in this program
are mounting and repair procedures of Full Frame vehicles.
Computer basics are addressed to help develop the students
ability to perform tasks with software and computer skills.
Additional time is spent on understanding and presenting printouts
generated by the computer system. Vehicle design and Collision
Damage Characteristics topics are also included in this program.
Basic 'In-Shop' Training MUST be completed
prior to taking this program. |
 |
| Program III- Damage
Appraiser Collision Repair Training Program |
 |
A. Two Day-16 Clock Hour
Program
B. Three Day- 24 Clock Hour Program This
program will inform and train Estimating personnel in the
basics of Vehicle Design, Collision Damage Characteristics,
Measuring (both mechanically and computerized), Damage Analysis
and Identification, and Collision Repair Equipment. Also included
is the understanding of Suspension Angles as they relate to
Collision Repairs, Structural Component Straightening, and
Replacement Techniques. |
 |
| Program IV - Today's
Structural Repairs for Educators |
 |
24 Clock Hour Program
With constant industry changes,
there is a need to inform educators who supply the industry
with quality entry level technicians. This program focuses
on all of Car-O-Liner's equipment available to educate the
up-and-coming technician. Time is spent on benches, measuring
systems, and other accessories available for training. Additional
time is allocated to focus on "Train the Trainer"
presentation techniques. This is also a hands on program with
education as the focus. The educator program is offered at
least once annually. |
 |
| Program V - Advanced
Structural Analysis and Repair |
 |
Advanced Structural Analysis
and Repair- Unibody/ Full Frame 24
Clock Hour Program
This training class is designed to enhance
the structural repair skills of the technician. This comprehensive
three-day program includes the understanding of vehicle design
and collision damage characteristics involving the technician
in the identification and analysis process of structural damage
and repair of both unitized and full frame vehicles.
A 'hands on' actual repair using the electronic measuring
system is performed to apply the knowledge and techniques
used to properly put a unitized structure back to pre- accident
condition. Instruction on steering and suspension as it relates
to collision repairs is also part of the program. After completion
of the unitized training the focus is then on using the processes
and knowledge that apply to a 'hands on' full frame repair.
This course requires previous attendance
of either Program I (Mechanical Measuring), or Program II
(Electronic Measuring). This course will be offered quarterly
at the National Training Center. |
 |
| Program VI- Understanding
Structural Damage Analysis |
 |
This eight hour program
gives the damage appraiser information about vehicle design,
collision damage characteristics, understanding structural repair
equipment, and how to integrate computerized measuring into
the estimating structural repair damage. During the lecture
portion of the program key factors of structural damage are
identified along with possible repair and replace guidelines.
These key factors are then put to use in a structural estimating
exercise. Prerequisite: No previous
Car-O-Liner training is required. Basic vehicle knowledge
and appraising/estimating experience required. This course
is designed to give the damage appraiser information on vehicle
basics as it relates to structural collision repairs. |
